Dina Defterios, the visionary behind Our Society’s Events, draws deep inspiration from her vibrant Greek heritage. Raised amid the aromas of her mother’s exquisite cooking and her father’s lush gardens, she developed a passion for hospitality and creativity early on. Growing up in a household centered on family gatherings and community celebrations, Dina embodies the Greek ideal of Philotimo—a heartfelt dedication to honor, service, and pride in heritage—which she brings to every event with warmth, authenticity, and Mediterranean flair.

Founder Dina Defterios brings over 15 years of experience, starting in the fast-paced world of LA public relations and rooted in the art of Greek hospitality. A U.S.C. alum with an eye for detail and a knack for making the complex feel easy, Dina leads her team with both creative vision and calm confidence. Known for her style, strategy, and a touch of sparkle, she crafts events that feel personal, seamless, and unforgettable. Dina supports local organizations including the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Music Academy of the West, Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, Ojai Artist Tour, and Ojai Valley Tennis Club—because a life well-lived balances elegant design with community spirit.
